Counselor Connection

Kindergarten: We will begin the lesson by discussing what we learned over the past year. We will read the book “No More Pencils, No More Books, No More Teacher’s Dirty Looks!” Following the book, the students will do an activity in which they talk about their Top 5 Moments of Kindergarten.

1st Grade: We will begin the lesson by talking about what we learned over the past year. We will read a book titled “The Last Day Blues”. The students will do an activity titled “Donut Forget About”. The students will draw a picture of things they won’t forget about this year and how they can make next year even better.

2nd Grade: We will begin the lesson by talking about what we learned over the past year. The students will continue with the pineapple theme by listing things that they are proud of, they are confident of, and they are capable of doing after this year.

3rd Grade: We will begin the lesson by discussing what we learned over the past year. The students will complete an activity about looking back on the memories over the last year. They will talk about things they overcame, things they accomplished, and things they celebrated.

4th Grade: We will begin the lesson by discussing what we learned over the past year. Students will complete an activity titled “It’s been a Magical Year OWL never forget”. The students will come up with an obstacle they faced this year, a win they had this year, and a valuable lesson they learned this year. We will also discuss wrapping up their final weeks at Cortland and how they can SOAR next year at the Intermediate School.
