Be it known to all who enter here, that Christ is the reason for this school. He is the unseen, but ever present teacher in the classrooms, the model of its faculty, and the inspiration of its students.

This week we will be focusing on showing Leaders. "Leadership skills allow children to have control of their lives and the ability to make things happen. Leadership instills confidence, and helps children solve problems creatively, work in a team, and work collaboratively with others. Leadership gives children many opportunities to develop responsibility."

Please join the Student Council in raising money for the Las Vegas Breast Cancer Warriors. Bring in $1 donation and wear pink in support.

Wednesday is November 1st. Please remember to order lunch for your child from the October menu and the November menu.

Students in grades K-4 can wear their Halloween costumes to school on Tuesday. Students may bring masks but weapons are not permitted! Students in Pre-K and 5th-8th grade can wear black and orange. If you signed up to volunteer, please be sure to check in to the front office before heading to your child's classroom. Remember...only green starred parents are able to volunteer at the class parties.

Cross Country Runners,

Practice is mandatory Monday and Wednesday this week to prepare for the upcoming Cross Country Meet Friday, November 3rd. Coach Mendoza will give details on the arrival time and procedures for the Meet.

This is a courtesy reminder that we strongly discourage you from picking up your kids early from school. Per the student handbook students should not be picked up within the last 30 minutes of the day. In the rare occasion students do need to leave for an appointment, please email attendance@ollv.org the day before so your teachers can have them ready.

Should you wish to volunteer in your child's classroom or be a chaperone on a field trip please ensure that you have completed fingerprinting, background checks, and the CMG program. You may pick up a volunteer packet in the front office. Please know that this clearance process takes between four and six weeks.
