Beginning with the Fall Choir Concert on September 28, parking spaces will be available for patrons who require parking spaces that are closer to the auditorium lobby. These spaces will be located near Door 10 which is adjacent to the bus parking lot on the east side of Barrington High School and available for evening and weekend performances and auditorium events. The spots will be designated as reserved for handicapped parking, but access to the spaces does not require a state-issued handicapped tag. Please feel free to use these spaces if you or a family member needs closer access.

On Tuesday, October 10th, 2023 Barrington High School will be holding our annual Fall Testing Day for all 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students. This day helps us gather data to support course placement for students for the next school year, helps students practice for the school accountability tests in the Spring, and can help 11th-grade students qualify for the National Merit Scholarship Program.

From September 15 to October 15 each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month. This is a time to celebrate the achievements, histories, traditions, and cultural diversity of Hispanic/Latino/Latinx Americans whose heritage is rooted in 20 Latin American countries and territories: Spain, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic. The 2023 Hispanic Heritage Month national theme is Todos Somos, Somos Uno: We Are All, We Are One. The theme reinforces the diversity inherent within the Hispanic community and the power that comes from being a united community.

DODGEBALL TOURNAMENT RESULTS

Thanks to everyone who participated this week, including the spectators and the 240 players who made the event a success! THE VICTORY went to Team Glizzy. Team member's names will be put on a trophy to be placed in the high school trophy case, to live on in glory. This PTO No-Stress Fundraiser will help fund events for students and teachers throughout the school year.

The safety of our students and staff is always our top priority and we commit to offering a safe

and secure educational environment. Barrington 220 is now partnering with an Illinois school safety helpline aimed at providing students a place to report information that might prevent bullying, suicide, and campus violence. Safe2Help is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It allows students to confidentially share school safety issues via a mobile app, text, email, or phone call. You will notice that the "See Something, Say Something" button on our district and school website now links directly to the Safe2Help contact page. We are asking that all students, parents, staff, and community members now use this platform to report safety concerns. In the case of an emergency, call 911.
