The Weekly Update

Dear St. Jerome Families,

It is with great sadness I need to share our Art teacher, Mrs. Sherman, son passed away. Her son was in the Marines stationed in Japan. Please keep Mrs. Sherman and her family in your prayers.

It is very hard to believe but first quarter ended on Friday, October 20th. Parent-Teacher conferences are the week of October 30th- November 2nd. Your child was given a conference sign up sheet at the first week in October. Please be sure you have a scheduled time, or contact your cild's teacher. Report cards will be given at the conference.

Families who ordered school pictures, these will be coming home today with your children.

Last week a letter went out to each family regarding outstanding balances. Please be sure all your financial obligations are up to date, including Ed fee, Candy money and After school care balances. Thank you!

Friday, October 27th- All Halloween activities!

• Grades- K-3 can wear their Halloween costumes. NO MASKS, NO WEAPONS!
• Grades 4-8 wear black & orange

Friday, October 27th- Trunk or Treat from 6:00-7:00pm in our school parking lot. ALL STUDENTS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT. Children may not be dropped off and picked up. This event is sponsored by Our Right to Life Committee. Please decorate your car, back into a space, and hand out treats!

Saturday, November 28th -Grades K-3. Trick or treat at VASJ from 3-5pm, wear your costumes and bring a bag for candy!

Wednesday, November 1st- All Saints Day- All School Mass

Thursday, November 2nd- 1:30 Dismissal

Friday, November 3rd- No School

Thursday, November 16th-1:30 Dismissal

Friday, November 17th- Picture Retake Day

Wednesday, November 22nd- Thanksgiving Break Begins, school resumes Nov. 27th.

We are still trying to get our basketball teams organized, but are still in need of coaches! All coaches will have to be background checked and VIRTUS trained. Any parents interested, please email our Athletic Director, Ms. Jones at: stjeromead@gmail.com

This week in Math Club, our children were practicing making geometrical shapes like; triangles and squares. Anything is more fun with a glow stick! :)

Ms. Spahar and our Kindergarten children were in the Halloween spirit last Friday and carved some spooky pumpkins. They even got to taste the pumpkin seeds that Ms. Spahar cooked from their pumpkins!
