Green Light Campaign at Smithfield
ESASD and Smithfield Elementary will be participating in the Green Light Campaign. The campaign begins May 1, 2022 and ends May 31, 2022. This month-long campaign coincides with mental health awareness month and the green light represents mental health.
All district buildings will participate and green lighting will be placed on the outside main entrances to display at night.
Wellness challenges will be read during morning announcements for our staff and students. In addition, our marquee displays the following for the month of May: "Light the way for Mental Health".

Birthday Celebrations
Until further notice, all classroom birthday celebrations are on hold. Please do not send any items prepackaged (or otherwise) from home to share with others.
The cafeteria is in the process of bringing back their Birthday Basket package that parents/guardians will be able to purchase to celebrate their child's special day. More information and order forms will be released from Food Services soon.
In keeping with health and safety, the ESASD Birthday Basket option will be the only type of birthday celebration permitted at this time.
