ASPL Gala Huge Success!
Repair Cafe February 3
Repair Café will return to the library on February 3rd! Have a lamp that won't switch on after changing the lightbulb? Or a pair of jeans that need a patch? Come to the library on February 3rd between 10am and 1pm, and there will likely be someone here who can help you! Repairs will be done on a first come, first serve basis. Limit of 2 items per person to be repaired.
Repair Cafés are all about repairing things, together. You’ll find tools and materials to help you make any repairs you need. On clothes, furniture, electrical appliances, bicycles, crockery, toys, et cetera. You’ll also find expert volunteers, with repair skills in all kinds of fields. Visitors bring their broken items from home. Together with the specialists they start making their repairs.
Free Tax Preparation February 10th
On Saturday February 10th from 10am-1:50pm, the Ballston Area Community Center will be hosting a free tax preparation service for those in the area who qualify. If you are over the age of 60, disabled, and/or make less than $60,000 per year, please come by with you necessary tax documents and have one of the BACC's tax professionals help you prepare your filing.
Homeschool Valentine Exchange
Sign up today to be part of our first in-person Valentine Exchange! Participants will be emailed a final participant count prior to our meet-up so they know how many Valentines they will need to bring. We ask for the safety and respect of our fellow homeschool friends: NO FOOD OR CANDY, PLEASE.
Please make sure to register each individual who wishes to receive Valentines so that we have an accurate number of attendees. Everyone who receives Valentines should plan to give Valentines as well. Registration closes a week prior to our event so everyone can ensure they can bring enough Valentines. Please use an active e-mail, as all communication will be done electronically.
Book and Cookbook Club
Book Club will be meeting on February 28th at 7pm in the Reading Room. Our book this month is How the Word is Passed by Clint Smith. If you would like to participate, come by the library and pick up a copy of the book, we have them on hold.
Registration is not required for Book or Cookbook Club. We hope to see you there!
February Closings
We will be closed on February 19th in observance of Presidents' Day.

Julie: "Dahlia, love that one!"
Holly: "Lilacs"
Emilly: "Do I have to pick just one? Hydrangeas or peonies."

Beth: "Tulips! But I can't keep them in my house because they're poisonous to cats."
