Have you heard the exciting news? All our students receive FREE breakfast and lunch on our campuses. New this year - food allergens and nutritional information can be found on our online menus. Simply visit our Nutrition Services website and click on the Titan menu icon or scan the MVSD QR code or download the MVSD app. Menu information at your fingertips!
At school, we offer color and variety – fresh broccoli, carrots, jicama, cucumber, zucchini and celery as well as apples, bananas, and pears. Our school meals also include whole grains, low-fat dairy products, and low sodium foods with less saturated fat. The Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program offers students an opportunity to taste a variety of fruits and vegetables they may not have tried before.
Model healthy food choices at home. With your child, make a simple three ingredient Tasting Trio recipe and give it a catchy name such as Krazy Kale Salad – 2 cups of shredded kale, 2 tbsp. of dried cranberries or raisins, and 1 tbsp. of honey mustard dressing. Need a little protein? Simply add cheese, almonds or shredded chicken and enjoy!
