The Owl Post
September 29, 2023
Hello Vernon Families and Friends,
The Fun for the Owls fundraiser, organized by the Vernon PTA, is a creative event that not only raises funds for essential educational programs but also adds an element of enjoyment for the students. Shifting the focus to incorporate more fun elements like obstacle courses and activity stations during the run has been a wonderful idea. It not only encourages physical activity but also makes fundraising an enjoyable and memorable experience for the kids.
A big shoutout to Sue Viens, Maya Pueo Von Geldern, and the dedicated Vernon staff for their hard work and commitment to making this event a great success. Additionally, kudos to the 50-plus parent volunteers who generously contributed their time and efforts to ensure the event's smooth execution. Their collective support and enthusiasm demonstrate a strong community spirit and a shared commitment to providing enriching opportunities for the students at Vernon.
Fundraisers like Fun for the Owls play a crucial role in enhancing the overall educational experience by providing resources for programs, equipment, and activities that enrich students' lives. The collaborative efforts of parents, staff, and volunteers are essential in ensuring the success of such initiatives, and it's heartwarming to see the Vernon community come together to support the school and its students.
Vernon Proud!
