Nohl Canyon was recognized as the Elementary School (>450 students) with the Highest Attendance Rate on May 9th, @ 97%.

The 2023 Campout had it all! Anaheim Firetruck, Doodlebugs Animal Adventure, DJ Tim, Glow in the Dark Dance Party, Pizza, Dessert, C-17 flyover, Disneyland fireworks, Anaheim PD Helicopter flyover, Donuts, and fun, fun, fun!!

Thank you to Scott Barton for coordinating and leading the Campout! Thank you to NCSA for all the support in putting this together! Thank you to all our families who came out for a night under the stars (clouds 😊)

Join us on Tuesday, May 23rd from 5:30 - 6:30 for Nohl Canyons Open House! The evening will begin at 5:30 in the Quad with a welcome message from Mr. Jones and NCSA.

Stop by to visit classrooms and celebrate the wonderful work your child has accomplished this school year!

The "College for Kids Summer Program" is available for all Orange USD students in grades K-12 and offers fun, interactive, and engaging classes AT NO COST TO YOU. This is an incredible opportunity that will accelerate progress to close learning gaps and provide our students with access to rigorous enrichment opportunities. Space is limited; therefore, priority will be given to students who are not enrolled in an Orange USD summer program. Those students who are in an Orange USD summer program may participate if space is available. Parents will be able to sign up each student for up to two classes. Registration will be closed when we are full, and no more sign-ups will be accepted. Registration is due to begin May 15th.

Come join us for a morning of valuable training that can prepare you and your family for emergencies and disasters at home or away from home. Children 10 years and older may attend with a parent.

Reminder to all parents - the Absence Hotline is available to leave a message when you know your child will be or is absent for the school day. Please make your absent call prior to 9:00 am on the day of the absence.

When calling, please leave your childs name, grade, and reason for absence

Nohl Canyon is beginning to see more students carrying their own cell phones. Please discuss with your child the guidelines for cell phones/communication devices (watches) while at school:

1) NO CELL from BELL to BELL - cell phones need to be turned OFF and stored in students backpack from first bell to dismissal bell.

2) Students who need to contact parents/guardians are expected to come to the front office to make the phone call.

3) Students who do not follow the guidelines:

1st occurrence: warning - expected to place phone back in backpack

2nd occurrence: cell phone confiscated - Parent Pick-up in office

The KIDS CORNER section of the newsletter will be a place to highlight our Roadrunner Students succeeding in outside activities. Nohl Canyon has a wide range of students in a variety of activities; Dance, Gymnastics, Equestrian, Cheer, Karate, Tennis, Baseball, Basketball, Football, Hockey..plus many more. If you would like to highlight your child, please send Mr. Jones a photo and description of your child(s).
