We have had a fabulous week this week. There are so many exciting and rich learning opportunities planned and already underway across the school. Keep an eye out for Team News Letters for information relevant to your child/children.

Yesterday we held our first Powhiri for the year. We are truly grateful for Matua Moni and Whaea Marcelle for their ongoing support and guidance with developing our own strength and baility to take part in this process. We are all learners each and every day and it was fantastic to see our Anahera Martin assist me with our Kāranag, Mr Michael Bucksmith with his korero on the pae pae. For our Manuhiri coming in (new staff, parents and students as well as our two Learning Support Coordinators for our Kāhjui Ako o Kōhanga Moa; Kate Fergusson and Lynda Sammon, we heard from not only Matua Moni on the pae pae , but also Mr Rob Wheatley and Matua Shane Reade. It was such a lovely powhiri all coming together as now, one school family.

This morning we we blessed to have breakfast with staff and their families this morning. We are grateful to have such a wonderful team here at IPS.

Our Newsletters will go out fortnight from now on. Next Newsletter will be Thursday 27 February.

Students of the week will be celebrated in the fortnightly newsletters.

Teams are using Seesaw to communicate and also they have been granted access to our Facebook Page where they will place photos of learning opportunities around the school.

Te Awhi Taonga would love any good quality 2nd hand educational toys, wooden puzzles, gardening tool,s empty containers or newspaper that you no longer need. Thank you

Keep your eyes out for a paper plate in your youngest or only bag this Friday.

We request yummy savoury or sweet baked treats from each family to sell at our Cake Stall at the AmeriCARna festival.

Due to the weather we ask for no cream for health & safety reasons and be mindful of icing and melting.

We also insist on NO supermarket commercial/branded packaged items - get your inner Nigella bake on or get the kids in the kitchen!

Please bring them into Pouakai Turner (in the Hall) on the morning of Thursday the 20th.
