Teaching for Learning for All!
Moraine PTA’s Annual Fun Run is May 30!
This year we are switching it up - students will participate in an obstacle course style Fun Run and friendly competition!
Classes will compete against one another to see who can raise the most money - each student goal is just $10! Using the platform 99Pledges, parents can send their student(s) page to family and friends to help raise money for their classroom. Winning class gets to choose a popsicle party or movie/popcorn party! The money raised will go to PTA funded programs such as Junior Enrichment Series (bringing assemblies and guest speakers to Moraine), Field Trip costs, and Teacher Stipends and Grants.
You will be receiving an email from 99Pledges that will direct you to your student(s) page. If you do not receive an email, please scan the QR code on our Fun Run flyer! You can also click HERE.
This event cannot happen without volunteers! Please visit our Sign Up Genius HERE or scan the QR code on our Fun Run flyer.
Thank you in advance for all of your support to the PTA - we cannot aid our students and staff without your donations and time!
Moraine Beautification - Adopt-A-Pot
Happy Spring!
Moraine has six planters in front of the school and one can be yours for the summer!
Here's how Adopt-A-Pot works:
For a donation of $20, you will be funding one of the planters AND you get to take a beautiful pot home for the summer. Your pot/s will be available for you to pick up at the last day of school for you to water and care for over the summer, returning them right before school starts so our school looks beautiful on the first day!
Thank you for keeping our school beautiful!
Contact Janelle Justin at 586-489-4163 to Adopt-A-Pot! First come first serve!
Moraine Bake Sale
Save the date! The Moraine Fun Fair will be held on June 9th from 5:30-8:30pm on the school grounds. Families will enjoy seeing favorite activities from years past, as well as new ones such as a photo booth and 50/50 raffle!
We are so excited for this event to return, but need your help to make it a success! The Fun Fair committee is asking parents to volunteer 1 hour of your time to help run an activity during the fair. The link below will allow you to choose which activity you’d like to assist with and what time frame during the event.

Student Learning Profile Input Form
On occasion, there may be some specific factors you would like the team to consider when making recommendations for placement next year. In the event that you are interested in providing additional input for your child, please email Mr. Reimann and he'll get send you the form directly! His email is reimannjo@northvilleschools.org .
Our staff, in partnership with our families, adapt to create flexible, inclusive environments in all classrooms to enhance the success of every child. Whether a parent chooses to complete the Student Learning Profile form, or not, will have no effect on the care given to each child’s placement. The final decision on all placements rests with the principal, after due consideration of team recommendations and parent information regarding their child’s learning needs.
Finally, it is important to note that input forms requesting specific teachers will not be considered. Please submit the form by May 19, 2023 to ensure that each request can be given the timely due diligence it deserves.
Please consult your child’s current teacher prior to filling out this form to get the most up to date information regarding their learning profile.

What is Academic Games?
Academic Games stimulates students to learn Math, English, and Social studies through fun games and competition. Academic Games is a collection of games designed to challenge students to use higher order thinking skills in the subjects of Language Arts, English, History, Mathematics, and Logic. Through competition students are encouraged and motivated to sharpen their skills in order to gain a competitive edge over their peers. Players receive recognition and awards in the same way that sports champions are honored.
Our Mission and Core Values
The mission of Northville Academic Games is to provide a nurturing and focused environment for students to develop their intellectual capabilities as well as maturing into responsible individuals through fun games and friendly competitions. We cultivate a positive attitude and fairness in players who can win with class and lose with grace.
Our core values are Passion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork and Fun.
The PTA Needs Your Help For The 2023-2024 School Year
Grab a buddy and join the PTA next year in planning and executing school events for our staff and students!
Does work not allow you to volunteer your time? Have one million and one things going on? No problem! Not all of our committees require tons of time and sometimes, an item donation may be all we need!
New volunteers will have access to the previous year’s documents via DropBox. Previous volunteers and your EBoard are also here to help - you will not do this alone!
To Sign up as a committee volunteer or miscellaneous volunteer, click here.
To learn more about what each committee does, visit our PTA website here.
Kindergarten Enrollment for 2023-24 School Year is now OPEN!
If you have any questions, please call Student Data at (248) 344-3524.
Parent Coffee Talks
The Parent Lighthouse Team is planning to host a “Parent Coffee Talk” once a month. Every month we will meet to discuss each of the “7 Habits of Highly Effective Families”. You do not need to have attended the parent workshop in October to join us for these informal “Parent Coffee Talks”.
The schedule is as follows:
May 18 – Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw
These meetings will take place in Room 311 at Old Village School (405 Main Street in Northville) from 9:00-10:30 AM (except on January 19). Parking is behind Old Village School next to the library. Light refreshments are provided. Please bring something to drink and join us as we have fun discussing how to successfully (and at times unsuccessfully) implement the 7 Habits at home.
Please contact either one of us with questions:
Mindy Eichenberg (meichenberg@msn.com) or
Jami Knapp (jamiknapp@gmail.com).
