Week in Review
Short weeks like this one are here and gone in an instant. Our first Back to School Night in years was a resounding success. The auditorium was packed full and classrooms were buzzing with joy as teachers, students, and families reveled in anticipation of a beautiful school year. If you missed the welcome back presentation, you can click here to view it -> Back to School Night - Fletcher - 2022
On Wednesday, the entire school gathered for an assembly to review the co-created behavioral expectations on campus. This was the culmination of a work done in classes the previous week in which students worked together to voice their ideas of how to keep each other "happy" and "safe" in all the different spaces on campus. These ideas from all grades were then compiled into a single document. Check out by clicking here -> Happy & Safe Spaces at Fletcher Elementary

School Site Council Wants YOU
Want to be more involved in making important decisions at your student's school? Our School Site Council has two open seats this year. School Site Council plays a critical role in making financial and safety decisions that impact our students' educational experience. Elections will be held on on Monday & Tuesday, September 12th & 13th. The first meeting will be held on September 28th at 1:00PM on campus. (originally scheduled for the 14th)
Please notify Principal, Jeff Friedenberg at jfriedenberg@sandi.net if you're interested.
Join our PTA
Our Fletcher Elementary Parent Teacher Association is actively seeking new members to get involved with providing our students with an even better school experience. The PTA uses membership dues and donations to organize school carnivals, provide teachers with mini grants, and campus beautification projects. If that sounds like something you'd be into, contact Jen Boucek at jennifer.aahl@gmail.com.
Now Hiring - Campus Noon Duty
Interested in joining the Falcon Team as a noon duty? We're currently hiring a noon duty to work up to 16 hours per week. Responsibilities include supervising a safe and orderly recess and lunch environment, organizing playground equipment, and campus hallway safety between recess and lunch. If you haven't been able to tell by now, we're a fun and flexible bunch to work with. Our students are the best too! If interested, email our Principal, Jeff Friedenberg, at jfriedenberg@sandi.net
Hiring starts as early as next week!
Student of the Week - Andrés
Our first Student of the Week for the year is Andrés in Mr. Leon's 5th Grade Class. Andrés is a new Falcon this year and is being recognized for volunteering to help to clean up the tables during lunch time. He noticed that the custodian could benefit from another person keeping the ground and trash/recycling places clean to improve student safety. Way to go, Andrés! Thank you for being a phenomenal Falcon!
Sign Up for Weekly COVID Testing on Campus
Weekly voluntary COVID screenings resumed this week and will continue to take place weekly on Monday mornings. The more students we have signed up for the screenings, the sooner we can identify symptomatic and asymptomatic cases to reduce community spread.
If you signed up last year, you must sign up again.
