Dawoodi Bohras of Detroit
The Dawoodi Bohras of Detroit, Muslims who worship at Masjid ul Burhani in Farmington Hills, are part of the global Dawoodi Bohra community. One of our biggest initiatives is Project Rise, an effort of their congregations to better the communities where they live.
They support projects that address food scarcity, the environment, education, and healthcare. They are honored to partner with community organizations like Farmington Public Schools, C.A.R.E.S. in Farmington Hills, Zaman International, Human-I-T, Farmington Area Interfaith Association, and Youth United to support the needs of the local community.
"We are blessed to have many of our families be a part of Farmington Public Schools and look forward to our ongoing relationship."
We observe Native American Heritage Month in November to recognize the achievements and contributions of the Native people.
This is a time to celebrate the history, culture, and contributions of Indigenous people.
The feather is a powerful symbol that signifies honor and a connection between the owner, the Creator, and the bird from which the feather came.
