Please Make Your Choice for Fall Now
Thanks to all of you who asked questions and provided feedback as we finalized our learning options for September. At this time, we need all families to let us know which option will work best for your children. Please click on the button below to submit a Commitment Form for each of your children. You may want to review the Reopening Framework before making your selection. If you select remote learning, you can change your plan after the first marking period. If you select in-school learning, you can change to remote learning at any time. PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR COMMITMENT FORM(S) BY Friday, August 7th. On Monday we will start calling families from whom we have not received a form.
Reopening Framework
It is expected Governor Cuomo will be making the determination about school reopening the week of August 1-7th, based on regional data. At this point, we are anticipating being able to return to in-person instruction in September. However, the recent health and safety guidelines will require us to make significant changes in our operations in order to have students return to school buildings.
Knowing how important it is for families to be able to make plans for fall, the building principals have worked tirelessly to read and analyze the hundreds of pages of guidance and then develop an instructional framework outlining the options for students in September. All parents will have the option of either having their child remain at home and engaged in daily remote learning or returning to school as part of a phase-in model.
