Parents Have Homework Too!!
Thank you for your support!
Mr. Kent and the TCES family
1. IMPORTANT: Please fill out Impact Aid & Emergency Information Update forms
SMCPS is encouraging all parents/guardians to please take the time to access and complete the Impact Aid Survey form and the Emergency Information Update form online, located in the Home Access Center (HAC). Once logged in, directions to access the online form can be found HERE. A video with instructions is available HERE. The form can now be accessed in Spanish by clicking on the Globe in the top right-hand corner once the form has been started. The deadline for the online submission of Impact Aid Program Survey and Emergency Information Update forms is November 14, 2023.
The first class to reach 100 percent submission will receive an ice cream social with Mr. Kent!
Our schools are heavily impacted by federally connected students – those parents/guardians who work on federal property in Maryland, live on federal property in Maryland, and/or are active duty military personnel. Because of this impact, we receive federal grant funds to operate and maintain our schools and enrich school programs. To receive these funds, the U.S. Department of Education (USDE) requires us to survey each student to determine eligibility.
If you require any assistance with the Home Access Center, please contact Ms. Suzanne VerHaagh at smverhaagh@smcps.org or Ms. Pat Hertzbach at pahertzbach@smcps.org.
2. Monday is Picture Day!
Have your student put on their favorite clothes and their best smile for their school picture! Classes will take turns throughout the day to get students' individual portraits taken. Order your pictures here! Use online code towncreek23.
3. Wear ORANGE!
Unity Day is Wednesay, October 18. WEAR AND SHARE ORANGE to unite for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion to send a visible meesage that no child should ever experience bullying.
4. Buy your Fall Festival wristband now!
The annual Town Creek PTO Fall Festival will be held on Friday, October 27 at 6:00. Wristbands (for unlimited games, a bag of popcorn, and a drink) are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. See the event flyer for payment options.
