From the Principal's Desk
Greetings EACS Families,
I hope you have had a wonderful week and holiday day off.
This was a perfect opportunity to refocus on the our school priorities that will help our school year play out smoothly. We are doing a good job with attendance. In December, only four charter schools made the top 10 schools for attendance of all of Anchorage School District's schools. We were #10. Thank you! The competitiveness in me wants to be #1. But I need your help! As a team, please remember to make sure that our students arrive to school each day and on time. I know that we can accomplish the goal of high school attendance each month. Let's work together to get Eagle Academy in the light of the district.
I look forward to a great 3rd quarter! Teachers will be holding students accountable academically and behaviorally. Please keep in mind that our school is not socially/emotionally based. Teachers are devoted to the academics while incorporating behavioral skills along the way to produce productive citizens in our school and community. Please prepare our students daily to be motivated to follow the high expectations of our school.
Thank you for your support of the 2nd Quarter Awards Ceremony for our students. Parents, your support means a great deal to both staff and students. Thank you for you! I anticipate so many more great accomplishments for 3rd quarter. Ler's work together to get our students across that threshold!
Let's have a fabulous week!
Your Principal,
Lynn Mills
