Dear Families!

We are so excited with the students in the PTECH Future Educators Academy. We are completing the coursework for Semester 1. Students have been busy in their academic classes as well as completing education research in their Project Based Research class. Students have also been going into the Elementary Classrooms as part of their Work Based Learning requirement. We are looking forward to what the next semester holds for us. Thank you for allowing your student attend our campus. We wish you and yours a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year - 🎅🏼

Visit from San Felipe Del Rio CISD

We had a coalition of visitors from San Felipe Del Rio CISD. They were appreciative of our knowledge and experience regarding P-TECH. They are planning to open a new Academy in their district and they plan to use our program as the model. 🏆

Service Project

Students sent Christmas Cards to residents at Stilwell Retirement. Our Future Educators wanted to wish a Merry Christmas to the Retired Educators to spread some Christmas Cheer. We are planning on partnering with Stilwell on other community service projects throughout the school year. 🙌

Visit from Oklahoma Western Heights High School

December 1st we had a visit from Western Heights Highs School looking to create a program focusing on Education and Training. They came to our campus to tour and discuss our model. The team also visited the Greater Waco Advanced Manufacturing Academy to see their facilities.

Recycle Project

A group of students are working on a recycle project for their educational research topic. Students have placed paper recycling bins in the elementary classrooms. Students pick up bins, weigh all of the paper collected and then take to the recycling center. We look forward to hearing the amount of pounds recycled and the results of their research project.

Congratulations to New Dual Credit Students

The Future Educators Academy welcomed seven new students to Dual Credit for the Spring Semester. After successfully completing the college entrance exam the students are now enrolled in MCC. The students will be enrolled in Music Appreciation to earn their Art credit for high school and college at the same time. Congratulations to these Future Educators.
