What is thePSAT Sign Up PSAT test?
The PSAT/NMSQT - Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test is a standardized test administered by the College Board and cosponsored by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation in the United States. It is a good practice test for the SAT. The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) measures what you're learning in school, determines if you're on track, and opens doors for opportunities to prepare and pay for college.
The PSAT/NMSQT has three tests: the Reading Test, the Writing and Language Test, and the Math Test. Test length is about 2 hours 45 minutes.

Passcode: lakersRemind codes for students to get information from our counseling department
Our counselors plan on sending Remind messages to students regarding important dates and deadlines for schedule changes, forecasting, grade-level counselor meetings, graduation requirements, CRLE due dates, college application deadlines, letters of recommendation, etc. Essentially the same information they put in their newsletter and Google Classroom but they keep finding students don't go to those sources to see information. Remind sends as a text message to the student - hoping it's easier for them to see information that way.
New Application for School Volunteers
For the safety of children, volunteers are required to have an approved background check when volunteering in schools.
To help streamline compliance with state and school board policies, which require that all volunteers have background checks and knowledge of other board policies -- as well as state-mandated proof of vaccination (or a qualified exemption) -- we are introducing a new all-in-one volunteer application and approval process through ou Raptor Visitor Management System.
Submitting an online application initiates the background check process. Once submitted, applicants will receive an email upon approval of your background check and you will be given access through the onsite Raptor System at all schools. Please allow up to three weeks to process your approval.
Volunteers need to submit only one application for volunteering in all LOSD schools. Applications need to be submitted annually to capture changes in background checks, policies, and/or vaccination requirements.
Volunteer Application for LOSD
Thank you for applying promptly, and for your service to our students and schools. We are grateful for our volunteers.
From the Laker Parent club
Dear Laker Family,
On behalf of the Lake Oswego High School Laker Parent Club we would like to welcome you to Lake Oswego High School for the 2022-2022 school year and encourage you to get involved! A big THANK YOU to all of the parents that were able to come and help with registration last week! It was so nice to see everyone. We are off to a great start for the year.
A few years ago, the Laker Parent Club decided that it was important to encourage all parent participation, so we did away with charging a fee in order to become a member! All our parents and guardians are welcome to participate in the Laker Club and everyone has now received access to Directory Spot, our digital directory. To access it please go to www.directoryspot.net or download the app on your phone or tablet. To sign in use the email address that you've registered through the district and if you don't have a password click on the option that you have forgotten it and you can choose a new one.
Laker Club is a nonprofit volunteer organization whose mission is to enhance and enrich the high school experience for the students of Lake Oswego High School. Each year our Laker Family raises money that goes directly towards supporting academics, arts, athletics, clubs, science, technology, performing arts, counseling and more. We help support our incredible LOHS staff so they can provide enhanced opportunities for our entire Laker student community.
As we have moved away from formal auction fundraising, we have been able to use a more direct, inclusive and streamlined approach that puts funds into our LOHS classrooms at the beginning of the school year. This allows our administration to hone in on the most effective use of funds throughout the year.
For the 2022-2023 school year we are asking for a voluntary tax-deductible donation of $125 per family towards our $30,000 goal, however, any amount you are able to give is welcome and greatly appreciated! Our incredible teachers and administrators have asked for a myriad of enhancements that will strengthen our students learning capabilities. Some of these requests include virtual artists and music mentors; photographer equipment and fine arts supplies; enhancements to our language, science and performing arts classes; yearbook, newspaper and counseling support; activity and athletic grants; technology upgrades; and more! Thank you all so much for your consideration and for supporting our students, teachers and administrators! Go Lakers!
Please make your tax-deductible donation here Laker Club Donation
You can also mail a check to the Laker Club or mail it to LOHS at 2501 Country Club Rd, LO 97034, Attention: Laker Club.
Ways to report incidents related to bias, racism or harassment in losd
Parents-guardians who have concerns about a student’s well-being are encouraged to reach out to their principal, and to maintain strong lines of communication and partnership between students, families, staff, and other resources. SafeOregon is also an effective way to report a tip regarding safety threats or potential acts of violence to our students or schools. Students should also be aware that intentionally providing a false report is a serious offense. https://www.safeoregon.com/
In addition, below are reporting methods for parents-guardians or students to use to report issues related to racist, bias, or harassment incidents.
