From the Principal
Dear Parents,
The second week has been great! We are getting into routines and classes are running smoothly as expected. This week I have just a few things to share:
*Thanks to all of our parents who volunteer with PTO and sit on our board. We had our first meeting together and what a cohesive team we have in place.
*Monday is our Watch Dog Dad Kick-off Event at Friendship Park- 6:00 p.m.
*Wednesday is college spirit wear day. All students are encouraged to sport their favorite team as we kick off college football.
If you are looking for something to do tonight, the Milton Eagles will play at Coolray Field in Gwinnett. I am sure they will start the year strong and we wish them the best. We look forward to seeing you for a short four days next week.

SCREENAGERS
Followed by a Panel Discussion
Are you watching kids scroll through life, with their rapid-fire thumbs and a six-second attention span? Physician and filmmaker Delaney Ruston saw that with her own kids and learned that the average kid spends 6.5 hours a day looking at screens. She wondered about the impact of all this time and about the friction occurring in homes and schools around negotiating screen time - friction she knew all too well.
SCREENAGERS takes a deeply personal approach into the vulnerable corners of family life to explore struggles over social media, video games, academics and internet addiction. Through poignant, and unexpectedly funny stories, along with surprising insights from authors, psychologists, and brain scientists, SCREENAGERS reveals how tech time impacts kids' development and offers solutions on how adults can empower kids to best navigate the digital world and find balance.
