Greetings, Ride Families!

The October trait of the month is responsibility. Each morning on the TV announcements, we discuss ways to be responsible and give examples of what responsibility looks like (usually in the school setting). WE chose the morning announcements as one of the vehicles for teaching character traits because the kids love the morning announcements, and they pay close attention and can tell us what was said, usually word for word. Our monthly character trait is directly correlated to the House System. At the end of each month, the teachers in each grade choose a student from each house a student who has displayed that character trait throughout the month. They will be celbrated with thier house members and presented a certificate. If your child is voted as the Highlighted House Member of the month, your teacher will let you know and your child will bring home a certificate.

Next week is Red Ribbon Week. Red Ribbon Week is a time where we like to focus on helping kids understand the importance of living a healthy lifestyle. See the flyer below for dress up days next week.

Sign Up Genius

Referral requests are now open for Conroe Independent School District Gifted and Talented program. Referral requests can be made by the parents and/or campus staff. It is recommended that parents of 2nd grade students wait until CogAT scores have arrived before nominating their child because CogAT scores are part of the GT assessment. Referrals will be accepted October 3- December 16, 2022. Download the Referral Form and email referral form to lscollins@conroeisd.

Spring GT screening window: January 23-27th.

Due to limited seating in the cafeteria, we are offering two options for lunch signups. You will have the opportunity to sign up to eat in the cafeteria with your child or outside in our gazebo/picnic table area. You will not be able to change locations after signup is complete. If you sign up to eat outside and it rains, you will be unable to move into the building due to limited seating. You may sign up for another day/time.

Each slot is available for two adults and the child you are eating lunch with..

Please see the schedule below for designated grade level lunch visitor’s days. Make sure that you sign up under the correct time slot for your child’s lunchtime. Each student may have a lunch visitor once every 3.5-week period. This ensures every parent has an opportunity to sign up. Remember to bring a valid id when you visit the building.

Due to limited seating in the cafeteria, we are asking all parents with small children to eat outside in the gazebo area.

Visitation Days:

Tuesday: ECSE, PreK, 3rd, 4th

Wednesday: Kinder, 1st, 2nd

Thursday: ECSE, PreK, 3rd, 4th

Friday: Any Grade Level
