In honor of Black History Month, the Leadership and Empowerment Team (LET) of Mesquite ISD presents these high-quality resources that may enlighten and educate our staff and students as we continue the important work of honoring the dignity of all. Who better to learn from about Black History Month and its origins than MISD's very own Social Studies Coordinator, Daniel Norwood. As a proud West Mesquite High School graduate and former North Mesquite High School history teacher, Norwood stresses the importance of factual history over opinions and the value of learning multiple perspectives.
