Dear Sunshine Parents,

I am pleased to announce that several of our students have won medals at Eagle Cup math competition. It was a great achievement! I congratulate our Math Olympiad Team for their efforts!

ITBS Testing is now over. We will administer make up tests tomorrow and testing materials will be sent for scoring. We expect to receive results by end of November. I would like to remind that MAP Test Winter Term will be administered between December 1st and December 7th.

Book Fair has opened its door to our students and parents. You will find the book fair schedule below. Please take some time and visit our book fair with your child in your convenience.

Four Sunshine STEM Academy students were recognized at the Eagle Cup award ceremony for their outstanding results on their level on Saturday, October 24th. Congratulations to:

Scholastic Book Fair is now open. Our parents and students can visit Book Fair at designated times below between October 26 and October 30:

Monday-Friday: 7:15 am - 7:45 am & 3:00 pm - 3.30pm
Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 4:00 pm - 4:30 pm

We had a smooth ITBS Testing term. Parents and students will be able to receive results by end of November.

Make up administration will be held on October 27th and 28th.

Sunshine STEM Academy will start using Sangha mobile app which is available for iPhone and Android devices. You should have received an email that includes instructions to download app and sign-up for your account. Please download the app and signup. You will be receiving notifications from school through app regarding school events and announcements.

We have two new contact form addition to our portal. Students can send messages to teachers and administrators through our Portal easily.

Invite your Teacher

Students can invite teachers and administrators to their special event which they would like to see them at the event. Teachers and Administrators would like to attend those activities as time allows.

I wish my teacher would know about me that ...

Using this form, students can send updates about themselves to teachers or administrators that they would like their teachers or administrators know about them.

Thanks to everyone that is promoting the Student Council sponsored event: SOCKtober. Our students began this endeavor hoping to help families in need in our local community. We wanted to provide families with something very useful that most may not think to give-- warm socks for the winter months.

We reached out to The Drake House (see link below) as they are doing great things to help families in our area. Yesterday, I received a call back from the director and she was thrilled that our students thought of The Drake House and the families they support. She stated that they would gladly accept any new socks. http://thedrakehouse.org/

We would like to announce that MAP Winter Term will be administered at the first week of December, from December 1st to December 7th. Results will be shared with parents after December 8th.

Our school library is available to checkout books. Students can visit Media Center between 7:10 and 7:45 to check-out books and return their books.

With the support of new volunteers, Media Center will be open every day from 10:30 am to 12:30 am. Media Center will be available for students to take AR Quizzes during lunch and recess time.

Accelerated Reader quiz is be available for all students. Students can visit Media Center in the morning between 7:10 and 7:45 to take AR Quizzes for the book they read.
