LETTER FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Bright Beginnings Families:
What an exciting start to the school year! We are so excited to have students back in the building. We are learning our routines and getting to know our new friends.
Thank you to everyone for your patience in the parking lot! The construction continues and we are hoping to have the entire project complete soon. There will be more adjustments to come. We will share any parking changes with families via Talking Points.
If you have not received any Talking Points messages from Bright Beginnings or your teacher so far, please touch base with your child's teacher or the office of the school to ensure your numbers are correct in the system.
This year there will be 4 opportunities for Parent/Teacher Conferences. The first conferences are scheduled for September 14th and 15th. Because there are 4 opportunities, not all students will be scheduled every time. Your child's teacher will let you know if you need to schedule a conference this month.
September is going to be a fun month of learning!

A NOTE FROM MISS MELYSSA
I am super excited to welcome you and your families! I have seen many of you as I wave Good Morning and share a greeting. Way to go helping your child learn about school and help them with new routines, classes, friends, and teachers. I serve as the Mental Health Specialist for our programs, or better known as Miss Melyssa, Friends Teacher.
I have the privledge of doing weekly Friends Time lessons in your child's classroom as well as Monthly lessons with your child and family in the Bright Beginning's Library. Please see the attached info page.
Every month, I will share tidbits of what we are learning through Concious Disicpline (Sophie Books) as well as weekly what your child's teacher is teaching from Second Steps via Facebooks, Talking Points and here in your newsletter.
Most importantly, YOU are your child's best teacher. Keeping up those daily routines, reading and exploring books with your child, as well as playing with them can keep them learning and growing!
Best wishes to you as your kiddos get used to their preschool day!
Well wishes to you all this September!
Thank you being a part of our Bright Beginnings Family.
Wishing you Well! ~Miss Melyssa

Also, if your child receives a referral for hearing or vision when notified of a concern, please follow up with a doctor as soon as possible. Our goal is to ensure your child is healthy and able to learn.
We would love to have any parents participate in our Health Services Advisory Council. The meeting will be in the fall. Parent input helps us to better care for our students at school. If you are interested in participating, please speak to Nurse Kendra!
