Coleman Middle School will become a student-focused community which promotes life-long learning and real-world problem solving through the integration of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math in a global learning community.

The mission of Coleman Middle School is to provide students with rigorous and innovative learning opportunities using Project / Problem Based Learning (PBL) which promote collaboration, critical thinking, community, and creativity.

Students will be showcasing in TWO WEEKS! THANK YOU FOR PRACTICING WITH YOUR STUDENT! Make sure your child does the following:

• Introduce yourself

• Shake hands with the visitor

• Smile and make eye contact

• State the driving question

• What is the real world problem? What are you trying to solve? Why should we care?

• What was the launch event for this project? What did you learn?

• Describe the Engineering Design Process

• Where did you start?

• Where did you get feedback?

• What have you had to change along the way?

• How did you use your PBL workbook to document this?

• What struggles have you encountered along the way? How did you solve these problems?
