HOMECOMING IS HERE! 🏈
The AHS Homecoming Parade & Community Pep Rally has become a cherished tradition that brings our entire community together! We can’t wait to welcome everyone to the AHS-DNG campus for the parade that begins at 6 p.m. on Monday, September 18, 2023. Due to the incredible amount of community support, we have adjusted the location of and lengthened the route to provide more spectator viewing opportunities and ensure the safety of all.
Please make note of the following guidelines:
- Spectators must park in the designated parking lots surrounding the AHS and DNG buildings. No parking will be permitted on Bailey Ranch Road or in the grass.
- Spectators must make their way to one of the designated viewing areas along the parade route and remain on the grass and sidewalks. Spectators will not be permitted on the driveway at any time during the parade.
- Spectators will be expected to comply with requests to remain off the driveway during the parade and follow directions provided by the administrators, police and volunteers assisting with the parade.
- Tailgating will not be permitted during this event.
The Community Pep Rally will begin immediately following the parade at Buchanan Stadium.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: ⚠️🚧
As you may already know, Lynn McKinney Elementary – Aledo ISD’s 7th elementary school that broke ground over the summer – is being built just to the northwest of McAnally Middle School. Our two campuses will eventually connect with a bridge and paved roadway when the campus is completed for the 2024-2025 school year. While construction is ramping up on McKinney Elementary, the westernmost drive to McAnally that is the bus entrance/exit will be used for exiting construction traffic starting Tuesday of next week (Sept. 19). Construction traffic will only be exiting from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. so as not to interfere with school drop off and pickup traffic. The McKinney Elementary site is secured by a fence, and there is a gate that is clearly marked as a construction exit only where the construction traffic will be exiting. This is not a paved road and there is no thru traffic on this construction exit. This is for your information and awareness only; it should not affect student drop off or pickup.
Does your student have an appointment? 🥼
