Ranger Report
August 18, 2023
Hello Ranger Families,
Preparations continue at EHS as staff get ready to welcome our new Freshmen students for their first day of school on August 28th and all classes on August 29th. Our Wednesday Registration event and back to school BBQ celebration was a lot of fun and I enjoyed meeting our Ranger families and students. If you missed the registration event, know that you can still pay school fees online, view your class schedule through PowerSchool, and check out a Chromebook during the first week of classes. In addition, feel free to reach out to the school at any time - we are here to help.
Teachers officially return to work on August 22nd and we are looking forward to a week of professional development, reconnecting and getting ready to serve our students and community. My hope is that your summer vacation has been safe, full of adventure and that everyone is ready to return to school. It is time for this building to again come alive with the sights, sounds and feelings of learning!

Students with an IEP or 504 You are Invited to join us for Ranger Smart Start!
New this year! Ranger Smart Start is an opportunity for our students with an IEP or 504 to connect with their teachers before classes begin. Particularly helpful for our incoming Freshmen, the goal of Smart Start is to allow time for our students to introduce themselves and to personally explain to teachers how they learn best. This connection fosters advocacy within our students and sets them up for success! Parents and guardians are also welcome to attend Smart Start with your student.
In preparation for Smart Start please complete this Introduction Profile for students to share with their teachers as they visit each classroom. Students may also create their own profile to share. I hope to see you this year at Smart Start.
When: Wednesday, August 23
Time: 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Where: A welcome reception will be set up in the high school commons. Students and families then follow the student’s schedule to visit each classroom.
