A new Parent Academy Newsletter went out on Friday, June 23, on how to best Support Your Child's Digital Experiences This Summer.
Parent Academy is a partnership between parents and District 25, in which parents are invited to join our community of learners. The goal of Parent Academy is to provide learning opportunities for parents to better understand ways to support their students’ academic success and personal well-being.
We welcome parents and families to engage in various activities and events to explore topics related to mental health, well-being, equity and inclusion, and academics. Scroll this page for archived newsletters, additional resources, or to submit an idea/topic for the next Parent Academy newsletter.

Fun Fluency | 2023-2024 School Year
District 25 is thrilled to announce we're bringing back our elementary world language option, Fun Fluency, for the 2023-2024 school year! Fun Fluency will offer before or after school instruction in Spanish and French for all elementary students who sign up. The instruction will be one day a week throughout 25 weeks.
For more information on Fun Fluency, download our letter HERE.
ECDEC | Preschool for All Program
We are excited to welcome our ECDEC Preschool for All Program to Ivy Hill Elementary School. This program serves District 25 children who are screened and identified as not progressing at a rate anticipated for potential success in kindergarten due to at-risk variables. At-risk factors can include delays in the areas of intellectual processing, pre-academics, communication skills, social-emotional development, and/or motor development. In addition, family environmental factors such as low income, homeless, parent/sibling with disability, parent education level, family structure, non-English speaking household, and others are also considered when identifying at-risk eligibility.
To request an ECDEC screening, please email bszoepe@ecdec.org
Food & Nutrition Services | 2023-2024 School Year

Share25
Our annual Share25 event was held at South Middle School today, and our D25 staff had a great time! This year's event focused on our new staff, who we couldn't be more excited to welcome to D25!
Making sure our staff are knowledgeable and comfortable with the technology they'll be using during the year is a key component to Share25, but this event also is a time for our staff to collaborate with their colleagues and learn about a wide array of topics that'll be helpful for the school year. Some sessions that were held this year include: Get Connected with Communication Tools, Generate Engaging Projects with Creation Tools, Vedic Meditation, and more!
We'd also love to give a big shoutout to our wonderful Technology Department who make Share25 possible year after year! Thank you!!!
