Annual Evaluation: Superintendent Dr. Pattie Neill Receives Excellent Reviews
(TCS) - In her annual Superintendent’s Evaluation presented by the Board of Education on Monday, January 25, Dr. Pattie Neill received excellent reviews and an overall composite score of 96% across six critical areas of school district leadership.
Trussville City Schools (TCS) Board of Education President Kathy Brown led the annual evaluation of Dr. Neill, who is in her 9th year of serving as superintendent.

Mrs. Moore’s class at Paine Elementary was given a choice board where they could select and complete different activities to learn about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Intertwining art and history proved a fun and meaningful lesson for all students.

HTMS Cheerleader Tryouts
There will be a mandatory Parent Meeting on Thursday, February 4 at 6:00 pm in the HTMS gym. All pertinent information regarding tryouts will be distributed at this meeting. It is required that every cheerleader trying out and one parent or guardian be at the meeting in order to be eligible to tryout. Please wear a mask and social distance in the gym. There will be a zoom option for the meeting in case of positive COVID 19 or quarantine.
For more information, please email Head Coach Lesley Muncher. An optional pre-clinic will be held on Thursday, February 18th from 3:00 - 5:00 pm. Mandatory cheer clinic and tryouts will be the week of March 8th - 12th.

State-Bound: Hewitt-Trussville Boys Bowling
The Huskies won the opening match Thursday at the AHSAA North Regional to qualify. HT topped Spain Park by the score of 1386-1245. Brodie Payne led the team with a 207. Kyle Wright also had a strong game as he bowled a 198.
HT led by 49 pins after the traditional games. The Huskies and Jaguars tied the first Baker game, so HT maintained a 49 pin lead. Coach Tommy Abney's team then recorded a 225 Baker game to put the match out of reach.
Next week, the team will travel to Oak Mountain Lanes for the AHSAA State Championship. Eight teams will be on site to compete for the 6A-7A title. The State bracket will be released on the AHSAA website soon.

2021 Youth T-Ball League
- Registration Fee: $60.00 (does not include uniforms).
- Uniforms will be purchased directly from the uniform company. More details will be sent when teams are divided.
- Players must turn 3 years old by December 31, 2021.
- No evaluations for this league.
- Teams are divided by TPR Staff.
- Coaches umpire, no scores kept.
- Each player needs fielding glove, t-ball bat, rubber cleats or tennis shoes.
- Practices begin in April. Games Begin in May.
- Games will be during the week (days depend on number of teams)

Parks & Rec Spring Baseball Leagues
- Ages 5-15
- Practices will be in March/Games will start in April/Evaluations will be in February
- Season will end in May
- Games will be during the week with only three (3) Saturday games (days will depend on the number of teams)
- Teams will have scheduled practices during the season
- Evaluation days will be announced by February 11th
- Early Registration until January 14th: $100
- Regular Registration: January 15 -27: $110

Youth Flag Football Registration Underway
- January 11 - March1 via www.trussville.org or in person at the Civic Center.
- Cost $55 (does not include jerseys).
- Jerseys must be purchased by the parent in person or over the phone from Hometown Sporting Goods. The deadline to order jerseys is March 19th.
- Evaluations: March 8th 6:00 pm 6U and 7:30 pm 12U
- March 9 6:00 pm 8U and 7:30 pm 10U
- Age cut off date is March 1, 2021
- Evaluations will take place inside the red gym (601 Parkway Drive)
- Practice will start March 15th and games start March 27th
