2nd Quarter Character Word - Gratitude
Gratitude is the character trait for 2nd quarter. It is a feeling of thankfulness and grows from an appreciation of what we have, who we are, others in our lives, and the world around us. Feeling grateful benefits everyone. Research shows that having an attitude of gratitude can increase happiness, self-esteem, hope, and empathy. In addition, studies have shown that when kids practice grateful thinking it can increase positive attitudes at home, school, and in the community.

Lunch & Learn
Kim Rudloff is I-Ready!
On October 26th families of Kim Rudloff's class had the opportunity to come to school to have a lunch & learn with their child. They were able to bring in lunch for themselves and their child. Kim says, "We all ate together and then I taught the parents about I-Ready and how they could support their child." Kim explained what assessments students had taken and gave parents their student's scores. I-Ready is an assessment tool for math and English which individualizes instruction for each student's needs.
