Greetings to all Title I School Caregivers,

The Department of Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment at Framingham Public Schools would like to invite you to the first monthly Title I PTO meeting of 2024!

The purpose of the monthly Title I PTO meetings is to welcome and engage families to support in two-way communication at the school level for all Title I school programs. At our upcoming meeting, we will discuss curriculum updates, student needs, and share feedback. While this is for Title 1 schools, caregivers from all schools are welcome to attend.

Monthly Meeting Schedule

In an effort to accommodate the schedules of schools, staff and families each meeting date will provide multiple times, as well as virtual and in-person meeting options. Details on locations for future monthly meetings will be announced at a later date.

On Monday, January 29, 2024, we will be offering two virtual meeting options and an in-person option in the evening. See below for event details and Google Meet links, as well as to RSVP for the in-person meeting at Fuller Middle School.

• 3pm - 5pm (Virtual)

• 5pm - 7pm in the Fuller Middle School Cafeteria (In-Person)

The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) distributes a share of federal grant funds to public school districts in Massachusetts based on a 40% low-income enrollment threshold.

Title I Schoolwide Program (TISP) focuses on reading, math and/or language arts and is designed to supplement services to every student using a variety of models. Being part of a TISP means that our Title I schools receive supplementary federal funding for core academic curriculum support, evidence-based programs that enable participating students to achieve the learning standards of the state curriculum frameworks, professional development for staff to elevate the quality of instruction, and to involve parents/guardians of participating children as active partners in their children's education.
