Intent to Return
Filling out the Google Form below is required for all students, whether you are returning or not returning to JISD for the upcoming school year. This information is essential for planning and, for returning students, it is necessary in order to be assigned a teacher. All families must provide proof of address. If the proof of address is not in the parent or guardian’s name, an affidavit will be required. Please call the JHS Registrar's Office to discuss the next steps in this process. We're here to help make it as smooth as possible.

Graduation Parking
The Commencement Ceremony will take place Friday, May 23rd, at 8:30 p.m. at the Jarrell High School Stadium. Students must arrive at the Small Gym by 7:30 pm. Only graduates will be allowed in the Small Gym. Guests and parents will not be permitted in the Small Gym. Students will be allowed to park in the staff parking lot in front of the school or be dropped off at the Small Gym entrance. We are highly encouraging students to be dropped off to help with parking availability. Please allow for traffic. Family members and guests should park in the student parking area and lots south of the campus. If you have a guest in which walking can be challenging or is in a wheelchair, you can drop off at the front entrance of the stadium for easier access. The gates to the stadium will open at 7:30 for seating. Graduation will start at 8:30 pm.

Update Contact Information
ParentSquare
Jarrell ISD uses ParentSquare for teacher-to-parent communication. ParentSquare is designed to keep parents informed and facilitate participation at school. It provides a safe way for teachers and parents/guardians to communicate.
Last year, we used ClassTag as our teacher-to-parent communication tool. However, after the feedback we received, it was clear parents wanted a change. We will now use ParentSquare. It offers a streamlined and user-friendly experience with features that enhance communication and engagement.
ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each parent, using their preferred email address and phone number. The accounts are generated regardless of when a parent enrolls their child. This platform is strictly for teachers and parents. The district and campus principals will continue using the current mass notification system to share information.
*NOTE for Current Families: Accounts have been preloaded with parent and student information from the 2023 - 24 school year. As we transition to the 2024 - 25 school year, new information (updated grade levels, contact information, and student profiles) will automatically be uploaded to your account, ensuring a seamless and hassle-free process.
Below is more information about ParentSquare and links to videos/training materials.

Khan Academy
A great resource for students is the Khan academy. The organization has resources for most students grades and specifically high school. Most high school subjects are supported.
In a recent study, students were over twice as likely to meet grade-level standards with Khan Academy. Districts across the country are partnering with us to ensure all their students succeed.
