ParentSquare
Jarrell ISD uses ParentSquare for teacher-to-parent communication. ParentSquare is designed to keep parents informed and facilitate participation at school. It provides a safe way for teachers and parents/guardians to communicate.
Last year, we used ClassTag as our teacher-to-parent communication tool. However, after the feedback we received, it was clear parents wanted a change. We will now use ParentSquare. It offers a streamlined and user-friendly experience with features that enhance communication and engagement.
ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each parent, using their preferred email address and phone number. The accounts are generated regardless of when a parent enrolls their child. This platform is strictly for teachers and parents. The district and campus principals will continue using the current mass notification system to share information.
*NOTE for Current Families: Accounts have been preloaded with parent and student information from the 2023 - 24 school year. As we transition to the 2024 - 25 school year, new information (updated grade levels, contact information, and student profiles) will automatically be uploaded to your account, ensuring a seamless and hassle-free process.
Below is more information about ParentSquare and links to videos/training materials.

Parking, Drop Off, Bus Area, and Main Office Access
Please note the map of the pickup and drop lanes for the campus. The flow is designed to improve flow and safety for students, staff, and guests.
- Students parking in the student lot to the east of the main campus coming in/out off of Bud Stockton
- Bus drop off in the back to the south to the campus
- Staff parking to the south on the main campus when construction clears out
- Parent drop off would be at Cougar plaza coming in/out through the baseball/softball road off FM 487
The considerations with this plan address student drivers, guests, busses, and staff as they access the campus in vehicles.
Free & Reduced-Price Lunch Information
Free and reduced-price meals based on student eligibility. Below are applications and information for the 2024 - 25 school year. All families are encouraged to complete the application regardless of your income. You may qualify for other services.
Educational Tour Opportunity
Dear families,
We’re going to London, Paris, & Rome in Summer 2025, and you’re invited!
We’re excited to tell you more about the trip we’re planning with EF Tours, our educational travel partner. Please be sure to register for this info session to be considered for this opportunity: https://bit.ly/3JTmijj
When students travel, they expand their knowledge of the world around them, discover more about themselves, and grow more confident. These skills are critical for creating the global citizens of tomorrow, and we would love to have your student join us on this adventure.
In this info session, we’ll talk about:
How this opportunity will benefit your student
What we’ll see and do on our trip
Everything that’s included in this experience
How your child can earn academic credit
How we’re keeping this safe and affordable
How to enroll on this trip (before it fills up!) during EF’s risk-free enrollment period
There are limited spots on this trip, so we would love to have you attend this meeting to learn more about this exciting opportunity!
Thanks,
Anne Dyer
** Please note this is a non-school sponsored trip.
Khan Academy
A great resource for students is the Khan academy. The organization has resources for most students grades and specifically high school. Most high school subjects are supported.
In a recent study, students were over twice as likely to meet grade-level standards with Khan Academy. Districts across the country are partnering with us to ensure all their students succeed.
The link to Khan Academy is located at www.khanacademy.org
