A Message From Ms. Barry
LCAP Survey
Starting today, we will be gathering your input on PUSD’s Local Control Accountability Plan, or LCAP, which shapes the District’s goals and guides our budgeting priorities for the 2024-25 school year. Your feedback makes a difference. Click here to get started: bit.ly/2024pusdlcap
We want to hear from you! This year, we are asking everyone to answer the following question: “What existing or additional programs or specific supports should we prioritize to ensure our students’ future success?”
Your responses are confidential, and you can respond with as few or as many different ideas as you’d like. After sharing your own thoughts, you’ll be asked to assign stars to the ideas shared by others, and read what’s most important to fellow stakeholders.
Click here to get started: bit.ly/2024pusdlcap
During our open survey period, from February 1 - February 16, 2024, you can come back to the survey as often as you’d like to participate, and in fact, we ask that you do come back to some of the new ideas that have been shared since you first participated.
Thank you in advance for your participation and partnership.

Cold and Flu Season
As we enter the cold and flu season, we want to ensure that you are well-informed about our health and medication procedures. Kindly take a moment to review the guidelines in the link above thoroughly, so you are prepared to handle situations where your child may need to stay home due to illness. Your understanding and cooperation are greatly appreciated.
Attendance Matters
Our school's primary objective is to enhance our daily attendance rates. Following the Winter Break, our school administrators will engage in discussions with families facing chronic absenteeism. We kindly emphasize the importance of scheduling vacations within the 180 days when school is not in session.
Research indicates a significant influence on students' academic and social well-being when they consistently miss school. In 2024, we will introduce incentives for students and classes that consistently exhibit good attendance.
Need Additional Illustrative Math Resources
We invite you to explore the provided link above for access to Illustrative Math resources that can enhance your students' learning experience during the Thanksgiving or Winter break. This resource-packed site is designed to complement Illustrative Math, offering valuable support for your students' mathematical journey. Your students will find a wealth of materials to reinforce their math skills and enrich their understanding. Happy learning!
Food and Nutrition Updates
School breakfast and school lunch are FREE for all enrolled students, every school day. Meals must still be entered into the cafeteria computer by individual student account.
Even though meals are free, families are still highly encouraged to complete the application for free and reduced-price meal eligibility. School site funding depends in part on the number of students eligible for free/reduced-price meals. Families that qualify for free/reduced-price meals may qualify for other benefits, as well. The meal application is available online at MySchoolApps.com.
Printer-friendly PDF menus are available on the PUSD Food and Nutrition webpage. At the top of the page, click or hover over School Menus + and then Printable PDF Menus.
Interactive, web-based menus containing nutrient and allergen details are available at MySchoolMenus.com, as well as via links from the F&N webpage.
