"Mean Girls" opens at Tartan this weekend
Tartan Theatre's MEAN GIRLS opens THIS Friday! Based on the 2004 hit movie, MEAN GIRLS takes us from the African savanna to Illinois’ North Shore High. How will new girl Cady Heron rise to the top of the popularity pecking order? By taking on The Plastics, a trio of lionized frenemies led by the charming but ruthless Regina George. But when Cady devises a plan to end Regina’s reign, she learns the hard way that you can’t cross a Queen Bee without getting stung. MEAN GIRLS is rated PG-13 for mature themes, some language, and teen partying.
Tickets can be purchased at tartantheatre.org— & 622 staff get in for free with their badge.
Tartan Theatre is also partnering with Carver Elementary School to spread kindness! While the content in MEAN GIRLS is a little too mature for elementary school students, the message is for everyone: Be kind to each other. To help spread this message, the cast of MEAN GIRLS are working with Carver Elementary to promote Kindness. We will be collecting monetary donations to purchase books on Kindness to present to Carver Elementary School after the show is over. If you want to donate a book or money towards building a kindness for Carver Elementary please bring a donation to the show or contact Tracy Buhl (651-402-8156, tlbuhl@gmail.com or Venmo her @tracy-buhl (put Carver Cares in the notes section)). Most books range in price from $10-$20. The students have a goal of raising $350 - $400. Book titles with pictures and price will be displayed at each show.

Discounted At-Home Internet
The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) provides eligible households a discount of up to $30 per month off their internet bills (or up to $75 per month for households living on Tribal lands), as well as a one-time discount of up to $100 off an eligible connected device like a laptop, desktop computer or tablet. In many cases, households can get high-speed internet without paying a dime by choosing a fully covered internet plan.
A household is eligible to participate in the ACP if a child in the household receives free or reduced-price school meals. Therefore, under the ACP rules, every household with a child attending a school participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) of the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program is eligible for ACP benefits.
