2022 Major Saver Fundraiser Guidelines/Procedures

Envelope Delivery & Distribution: SEPTEMBER 15TH Major Saver will drop off student envelopes at each school office on a preapproved day. Envelopes will be organized by teacher and classroom for teacher mailbox distribution. Digital versions will be available for the students who are participating in remote learning.

Campaign Assembly Kickoff: SEPTEMBER 16TH A digital/video kickoff will be shared with each school via email. Schools will be asked to share the digital assembly to all students and families on the scheduled kickoff date.

Collection Process: SEPTEMBER 23RD, 24TH, 25TH & 28TH Collection days may be limited less days to reduce school visits along with a revised collection process minimizing contact. Collection days will be preapproved prior to campaign kickoff.

• Office collection only. No contact with teachers and students.

• Teachers will send any sales packets to the office first thing in the morning.

• Office visits will be brief to collect money, fulfill card orders and prizes.

• Fulfilled orders will be left in the office for redistribution later in the day.

We have been practicing cafeteria expectations at lunch every day. We talk to our kids about keeping feet on the floor, using good table manners, and keep the volume at a level 2. We have also been practicing cleaning up after ourselves. All grades have doing a terrific job following these expectations.

To further improve the behavior expectations in the cafeteria we have implemented a lunch rewards system. Our lunch supervision staff disperse two tickets to two students per grade level for exemplary behavior in the lunchroom. Those tickets are placed in a jar. At the end of the week we draw two tickets and reward the winner with a prize. The lunch rewards system will only be implemented for approximately 3-4 weeks.

School releases at 1:00 on September 21st. The Homecoming parade begins at 2:30 and those participating in the parade will line up at KNHS parking lot at 2:00 p.m. Any parents requesting transportation changes on this day due to homecoming festivities need to submit those changes to the KNE office no later than 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 23rd.
