How does RULER work in the school?

We infuse RULER into all parts of our school by having school-wide activities. In the classroom, teachers integrate core routines that build emotional awareness and teach RULER lessons.

Supporting RULER at Home

These simple activities and conversation starters are designed to promote social and emotional skills at home. There are three types of activities: “Talk About It,” “Do It Together,” and “Did You Notice.”

Activities for grades K-1, 2-3, and 4-5 can be found below:

We encourage you to try some of these activities with your children!

The school brought in enough donations for the 3rd-5th graders to make 100 care packages for Wheeling Township Pantry today. We had 150 kids help assemble the care packages and make 40 Thanksgiving placemats that will be used at a local PADS shelter for Thanksgiving.

The kids did an awesome job packing them and making the placemats!
