November Newsletter
Message from Mr. Hoheisel
Grateful for You!
We wanted to take a moment to express our heartfelt appreciation for the PTO’s generosity in providing meals during our recent parent-teacher conferences. Your support and thoughtfulness did not go unnoticed, and it made a significant difference in the success of these events.
As winter approaches and temperatures drop, it's crucial to ensure that our students are well-prepared for the colder weather. To keep your child safe and comfortable during the winter months, please remember to send them to school with appropriate winter clothing.
As we approach the holiday season, we want to thank everyone for their support of our students, families, staff, and community. It is a time of year when we come together to celebrate and support one another. The holiday season is a time of joy, love, and togetherness. However, we understand that it can also be a challenging time for some families. Economic strains, family dynamics, or other circumstances can make it difficult for our students and their families to fully enjoy the holiday spirit. Our aim at L&C is to ensure that every member of our Lion Pride feels supported. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or if there is any way we can assist you during this time. Together, we can try to make the holiday season a little brighter for some of our Lions and their family.
Have a great November!

Message from the Nurse
Is my child too sick for school???
In case of a fever:
Following any fever over 100.4 degrees, a child should stay at home until they have been fever-free for at least 24 hours without the use of over-the-counter products (i.e. Motrin, Tylenol -never give a child aspirin). During the early morning hours, a child's temperature will often register as normal, whereas later in the day it may rise again. This is one reason why a child needs a period of at least 24 hours without an elevated temperature before returning to school.
In case of vomiting and/or diarrhea:
Children who have been vomiting or have diarrhea need a period of time to regain strength before returning to school. Children should be kept home a minimum of 24 hours after the last bout of vomiting and diarrhea.
We want your child to feel good and get the most out of their day. Please support this by following the above guidelines and let your child recuperate before returning to school. This will help the other students and staff be healthy.
Please contact Layne, our school nurse, if you have any questions or concerns.
