Last year's Summer Camp was incredibly successful, and we are once again partnering with the YMCA to provide an experience that will target and strengthen student needs in Reading and Math in grades K through 5, in a fun and engaging environment.

This year's camp will run in one 5-week session from June 8 - July 8, 2022. The Camp will operate Monday through Thursday every week, with the exception of the week of July 4th. In observance of the holiday, that week Camp will run Tuesday, July 5 - Friday, July 8. Each day the camp will begin at 8:30 AM and ending at 12:30 PM, and breakfast, lunch, and transportation (if needed) will all be provided - free of charge.

E-sports are video games that are played in a highly organized competitive environment. These games can vary from popular, team-oriented multiplayer games, to single player contests. The growing popularity of video games coupled with improvements in connection and streaming technology has resulted in the emergence of a variety of rapidly growing markets and opportunities. Today, e-sports is a multi-billion dollar industry with several opportunities for people to gain or create careers, and colleges are even starting to award scholarships for outstanding e-sports student-athletes.

The IASD is considering partnering with an e-sports league that would offer two seasons in which students could participate in a variety of games. These seasons operate similarly to that of any sports season, providing our students a schedule of opponents to compete against in the regular season, and then the best teams or competitors are invited to compete in the playoffs and potentially the championship event held at St. Francis University. They also provide students career exploration opportunities in the in the numerous professions related to the e-spots industry.
