It's A Great Day To Be A Grizzly!
Fall sports and activities are underway, our NP organizations have done a great job competing and representing the Grizzlies all across the State so far this fall!
I'm proud of our student-athletes and how they represent our school, and would like to continue to encourage them to work hard in the classroom and on the field of play. Great job Grizzlies!
Be sure to stay connected to the Activities Department by following me on Twitter and Instagram. Twitter (X) is the spot for the most late breaking changes to contests. We really appreciate all of your patience so far this fall as we've worked through some schedule changes and issues with transportation.
Friday Night Lights 9/15 - Military Appreciation Night
Tomorrow night's game vs. FZE at North Point High School will be military appreciation night! A few highlights from the event:
- Members of the Armed Forces can bring their ID badge and get free admission to the game.
- Wabash Choir will be performing the National Anthem.
- Members of different military branches will be on site during the game.
- Metro Air Support will be delivering the game ball via helicopter.
Admission gates open at 5:30pm, we encourage you to arrive early to beat any line congestion when entering the stadium.
Non High School Student Admittance Procedure
An important message for parents of non-high school aged children.
- After experiencing some issues with younger students who were not accompanied or supervised by an adult during our last home game that caused some potential public safety issues we will be putting the following in place for tomorrow's game:
- We will not admit middle school aged students or younger without a parent/guardian coming in with them to supervise.
- We will also not let one adult bring in 12 kids who are not within their immediate family.
- Students who are not in the stands or in the designated middle school student section will be asked to leave.
What To Know When Visiting The Den
With home events kicking off this week, please see the graphic below for all of visitor guidelines and admission prices.
Some highlights to keep in mind:
- Please leave your dogs, balls, frisbees, etc at home when coming to events at NP
- Firearms are not allowed at events at North Point
- The use of tobacco products including vapes is prohibited on campus
All Sports Passes Are Still Available
The best way to avoid a long line to get in to highly attended events like Friday Night Football is to buy an all sports pass and have access to the pass gate!
Students can visit Mrs. Price in 618 to pick one up!
Family Pass - $80
Adult Pass - $35
Student Pass - $20
If you attend a lot of events at North Point, this pass is a great value!
Winter Sports & Activity Registration
Winter sports and activity registration is now open! All students participating in an activity this winter must be registered and cleared prior to try outs/practices.
To be cleared students must:
- Meet academic eligibility standards
- Have a valid baseline test at NP
- Have a valid physical exam.
Please use the link below to register today!
Impact Testing For Winter Athletes
Impact tests are given to athletes in order to get a baseline in case of concussion. They are good for two year from taking them.
If your student is a freshman who has yet to take it, or an upperclassman who hasn't taken it within the last two years, they will need one to participate.
We will administer tests in the library on the following dates, missing a test date will prevent you from trying out for a winter sport.
9/25
10/4
10/6
All tests will take place in the library immediately after school.
