MARCH: BE KIND ONLINE
Throughout the month of March, your child will participate in lessons and activities promoting kindness to others. We will discuss the importance of showing kindness to our friends in person and the importance of showing kindness to others when we are online as well.

BARBARA BUSH KINDNESS COMMUNITY PROJECT
Barbara Bush Elementary will be joining our local Grand Prairie Homeless Outreach Organization (GPHOO) in helping our city homeless people.
How can we help our Grand Prairie Homeless:
1) Encouraging notes and drawings from the kids to the homeless. They love getting them and it lifts their spirits. The organization will be putting them in the lunch sacks they make for them.
2) Students and families can donate items so that volunteers from the organization (GPHOO) can make lunch sacks for the homeless. The organization serve 75 meals a day so these lunch sacks and/or ingredients would help a lot.
Donation Items needed
-Cookies
-Protein bars
-Bags of chips (not spicy)
-Fruit cups
-Cracker packs: peanut butter, cheese or saladitas
-Box of raisins
-Chicken salad box
-Ham salad box
-Spam
-Water bottles
There will be a box in each entrance of the school in order for students and families to drop off donations starting Monday, March 22, 2021.
There will be a mailbox next to the drop off boxes at each entrance of the school in order for students to turn in their encouraging notes to the homeless.
