SAT School Day - March 3, 2021
As a part of Leander ISD’s continuing commitment to helping all students become college-ready, your eleventh-grade student will have an opportunity to take the SAT at school on March 3, 2021, during the regular school day.
There will be no essay portion of the SAT administered on March 3rd. If your student would like to take the SAT with an essay he or she will need to register for a Saturday SAT.
The SAT is accepted at all U.S. colleges; it measures what students are learning in high school and what they need to know to succeed in college and career. Leander ISD is pleased to offer SAT School Day on March 3rd at no cost to students and families.
Students do not need to register to take the SAT School Day on March 3rd. They will automatically be registered by the district.
SAT School Day gives students the opportunity to take the SAT at their own schools on a weekday with:
How can Leander ISD parents support students in managing the SAT?
Ensure your student is using The Official SAT Practice and linking their most recent PSAT scores. Per College Board, students who spent 20 hours on Official SAT Practice saw an average gain of 115 points from the PSAT/NMSQT to the SAT.
Help your student create a study schedule and hold them accountable for sticking to it.
Register your student to take a full-length SAT practice test.
LISD high school campuses offer mock SAT practice exams for a fee. Please see campus websites for more information. There are also full-length practice exams on The Official SAT Practice website.
Encouraging your student to practice will help him or her defeat mental blocks and have a positive mindset when taking the SAT.
