RES Weekly Buzz
Our Strengths
The picture in this section includes students' reflections on their individual strengths. The bulletin board outside of our gymnasium helps us highlight that we each bring something special to Rockport; we celebrate everything that makes us unique. But .. when we come together, the strengths of each individual member of our school community are what make Rockport Elementary School a great TEAM.

Student & Family Handbook Acknowledgement

- Please read and review the handbook using this link: Rockport Public Schools Student and Family District Handbook.
- Parents and guardians will need to acknowledge that they have read the handbook through this form: Acknowledgment of Receipt of RPS Student and Family Handbook. This form is also available on the Handbook page of our website. Please complete ONE FORM FOR EACH child you have attending Rockport Schools. For 6th through 12th grade students, you will also be prompted to have your child sign this acknowledgement form.
DISMISSALS
If your dismissal plans for your child change during the school day PLEASE call the office at 978-546-1220 to ensure that we receive the message. Although our teachers check their email throughout the day, their schedules may not allow them to get the message in time for us to help you and your child plan for the change in plans.

Gloucester Presents: COMMUNITY SAFETY DAY
This event has been postponed to October 14th, 10-2, Harbor Loop, Gloucester
Notes from Nurse Wagner
Please remember to turn in a copy of your child's latest physical and immunization history.
If your child will need any medication, inhaler, or Epi-Pen for the 2023-2024 school year, new forms are required. The Medication Administration form (or a physician's order) and Authorization To Treat form will need to be filled out. Doctors should also fill out an Asthma Action Plan for any students who need an inhaler at school. These forms are available under the Health Services link on the rpk12.org website.
Please have your child wear sturdy athletic shoes during the school day to prevent slips, falls, and injuries.
Please make sure your child brings a water bottle to school every day.
RPS COVID guidelines remain the same as last year. Please stay diligent about monitoring for symptoms in your child. You can review the guidance here.
If you have any questions or need any forms sent home in your child's backpack, please call the RES health office at 978-546-1223 or email rwagner@rpk12.org
