From the Harvest Festival Committee
Hello Family and Friends of OLLV,
We hope you are having a fabulous summer vacation! While soaking up the summer sun, we
are fondly dreaming of fall already and our annual Harvest Festival! We have pumpkins and fall
festivities on the brain and are excited to announce that this year will be the 40th Anniversary of
the Our Lady of Las Vegas Annual Harvest Festival on Saturday, October 21, 2023.
We would like to take a moment to introduce ourselves for those who may not be familiar with
our faces. We are Jamie Bennett and Amber Braverman, and we are excited to be leading the
committees that will be creating this year’s Harvest Festival. Last year was both of our first time
as co-chairs and we had such an amazing time working with all of the wonderful members of
our school, parish and community, that we are back for year number two!!
Our festival last year was a huge success and that is solely because of the large amount of
help we received from our families, friends and community. We are truly grateful for everyone
who volunteered, donated, decorated, created, planned, organized, cleaned, cooked, and in so
many other ways lent a helping hand. We felt such an overwhelming sense of community and
pride in what we had all accomplished post- pandemic, essentially from scratch, and with bad
weather on top of it all! We want to say THANK YOU!!!! We truly could not have done it
without you!
This year we need your help more than ever to continue this wonderful tradition and to
celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Harvest Festival. Whether you would like to join a
committee, help with projects, brainstorm ideas, be a Harvest Festival class parent, sponsor, or
anywhere in between…we need you! No amount of help is too small, we encourage you to join
us and make this year one of the best yet!
Last year, the Harvest Festival profited $96,134.43, all of which goes directly back to the
school. The Cake Walk, Candy Guessing Booth, Haunted House, Harvest Cafe & Food Booths
were among the most popular and profitable areas. We look forward to making some new
additions this year, as well as bringing back old traditions such as the Talent Show!
Whether you are new to our school or have been here for just a year, or several years, we
encourage you to join us in this wonderful tradition of creating magical moments and memories
for our children. We look forward to meeting you at the next Harvest Festival Meeting!
Sincerely,
Jamie Bennett
Amber Braverman
