Dear St. Anne Parents,

Our 5K Walk-a-thon Parent Information Packet can be found in this newsletter. As you heard at Monday night's SAPTO meeting, this event will take place on November 19. In order to make this event a huge success, we are asking all families to begin now to reach out to family and friends who live close AND far away to help support this fundraiser. It is easy for your family and friends to support your child's participation by using the on-line donation function. Remember, too, our 5K Walk-a-thon tee shirts' art work always comes from students. Encourage your child to submit an art design. Who knows, your child's art piece might be the winning design to adorn our 21-22 5K Walk-a-thon tee shirts! Good luck and thanks for your support.

Please note that our October SAPTO meeting (Zoom) date has changed. October's meeting will take place on Monday, Oct. 25 at 7:00.

MSP has been down the last 2 days and we do not have a date when it will be up again. Teachers are unable to login to do attendance or enter grades, and parents are unable to login to see their child's grades. If you have been unable to view your child's grades, it is due to the whole system, not an error on your part. We apologize for the inconvenience.

As noted in up-coming events, Friday is an Archdiocesan teacher meeting and a student holiday.

5K WALK-A-THON – FRIDAY NOVEMBER 19TH

Save-the-date: Our annual 5K Walk-a-thon is back this fall and will be held on Friday, November 19th! Packets are available for download from St. Anne’s website (stanne.com). In the packet you will find all the information pertaining to this fun-filled event.

Please note the following key dates to be eligible for some fabulous prizes:

Oct 8: Early birds who meet this year’s goal and submit donation(s) by this date will receive a homework pass

Oct 15: Students who submit a t-shirt design by this date will receive a homework pass

Oct 18: Register and enter 10 names into Pledgestar to receive a free dress pass

Dec 10: Deadline for match gifts to arrive; submit match requests ASAP to ensure your employer has time to process and send payment to St. Anne to receive a homework pass

During October, the month where we focus in on the rosary, our students will not be listening to a morning prayer out in the yard, but rather be saying a decade of the rosary in their classrooms. We will continue to have the students recite the St. Anne School Creed as well as the Pledge of Allegiance before they go into the building. All our parents and families are invited to join our school for tomorrow's Rosary Prayer Service at 1:30 in the church. I want to thank Ms. Gotch and her sixth grade students for all the work they put into preparing this prayer service for us. The rosary is a beautiful way to pray and reflect on the many meaningful events in the lives of Jesus and the Blessed Mother.

With the flu and cold season starting, I wanted to thank everyone for your conscientious attitude in keeping your child home if s/he is not feeling well. We want to keep your child and every child from getting sick. We appreciate everyone's thoughtfulness about not sending your child to school if s/he is not feeling well. AGAIN, PLEASE REMEMBER....if your child has ANY of the COVID symptoms, DO NOT send your child to school. Per the San Francisco Department of Public Health's guidelines, you should have your child tested if your child exhibits COVID symptoms. Also you might want to call your child's doctor for any additional concerns you might have. THANKS FOR YOUR ONGOING SUPPORT!

Our parent tours for parents considering placing their child/children here for the 2022-2023 school year began today. Our next Parent Tour will take place tomorrow, September 30. I am offering both in-person as well as Zoom Parent Tours to interested families this year. The dates of both types of tours can be found on our school's website as well as the flier. Interested families should contact the school office. If you know of a family member or have friends looking for a warm family oriented school, please share the dates for them to visit and tour our school.

Robotics Club will be offered on Tuesday after school for students in grades six through eight. If your child is interested, please print and return the form to Miss Creedon. Robotics starts next Tuesday, October 5.
