Volume 4 Issue 21
Next week will mark the first full week of school since December 12-16. How fun!! This week's newsletter includes a number of upcoming parent workshops along with some good tidbits for the coming week.
This week's background is our very own Katherine Kim who was featured in this Week's TUSD in Review. If you haven't seen it, check it out. We are so proud of Katherine and not only her tremendous success in the Fencing world but her ability to balance her extracurricular passions and school. Way to go Maverick!

Principal's Message...
We hope our new Mavericks are settling in and enjoying the benefits that Tustin Connect has to offer. As we turn the page on the calendar I'd like to reiterate the critical role parents play in our students' success. As an independent study program, the bulk of the work students complete is done independently. Students that are successful at TC overwhelmingly have the support of their family via collaboration on a plan for weekly work completion, setting up a quiet place to work, and developing systems of accountability. If you would like to learn more about ways you can support and set up your children for success and/or problem solving potential struggles, please reach out to our counselor (rwijnhamer@tustin.k12.ca.us) visit our counseling website, or talk with your teacher. We will also be hosting a Principal/Counselor Coffee on February 2nd at 9 am at the high school campus.
As always, if you have any questions, compliments, ideas, and/or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out at (714) 430-2052 ext. 52103 or efineberg@tustin.k12.ca.us.
