St. Luke Weekly SMORE
May 12, 2023
Leadership Message
Dear St. Luke Families,
This week we welcomed Connie Kulhavy, a Metis artist, to St. Luke to teach students about Metis History and culture through beautiful birch tree art. Each class created wonderful works of art as they listened to Connie and the significance of the birch tree. I hope you all had an opportunity to see the artwork created by your child.
On Thursday, the Grade 4 - 8 students took part in our annual track and field day. Students competed in running and field events. The weather held out for most of the day. We will finish up some events at the school next week.
On Monday, May 15 we begin Catholic Education week. On Tuesday we will gather as a school community to pray the Living Rosary at 8:30am with students leading the prayers. We will also be announcing the GRACE contest winners. I would like to extend the invitation for parents to join us in praying the rosary on Tuesday. On Thursday we encourage our school community to wear blue to show support for Catholic Education.
Happy Mother’s Day to all our Mothers and Grandmothers. May the Lord bless you with love and joy!
Have a wonderful weekend,
