Students in Craig Spreiter's Professional Selling course applied selling skills to a Job Interview and really impressed our local business partners. Judges from OACC and Ideal Credit Union spent two days conducting job interviews for a variety of high-school level jobs. One student made such a positive impression on Eric Morley (Big Frog Custom Clothing), pictured in center photo, that 4 weeks later they are sitting down together to explore job opportunities or a potential career path.

Under the direction of Vicki Kapaun, Tartan's student organization, BPA (Business Professionals of America) hosted their annual blood drive. Donors, workers, volunteers, and even those who couldn’t donate blood yet were still there, and did amazing work! Thank you so much to everyone for coming to BPA’s annual blood drive and a big shout out to everyone who donated today. Follow Tartan BPA on Facebook to see more photos of this important event.

Students in Ms. Roberto's Culinary Arts class work in a team-oriented environment to research, prepare and serve high quality and interesting meals according to restaurant standards. For a small donation, staff can order meals that are fit for a king! Students who are interested in pursuing careers in culinary arts and hospitality can register for this course in January for the 2022-23 school year (open to students in grades 11 & 12).

The Tartan Career Pathways program extends a BIG thank you to the Oakdale Area Chamber of Commerce for their generous donation of $2,500 to the program. The funds will be used to promote career pathways through events and tours and to support Career & Tech Ed. students who may qualify for state or national competitions. Thank you, Oakdale Area Chamber!
