Happy Fall from your PRS Principals!
The 2022-23 school year is off to a great start! We are deep into instruction and have begun our before and afterschool clubs and activities. We have also started our first fundraiser of the year, and our first apparel sale! See below for more information.
It was wonderful to see so many families here supporting their child's education at Meet the Teacher Night. If you attended, please take a few minutes to complete this survey. The information you share will help us plan future events, ensuring their structure meets the needs of our families.
We have been celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month since Sept. 15 at PRS and will continue through the next two weeks. Additionally, October marks Dyslexia Awareness Month. Students are learning new facts each day on the morning announcements.
We are working on updating our school website. You can find a staff directory and the Family Handbook there, as well as a variety of other resources. Have you seen our District Virtual Backpack?
As we move away from COVID-19 related restrictions, there are some changes in school procedures. Please remember that students who are dropped off after 9 a.m. must be walked into the building and signed in at the main office. Please park your car in a parking space.
Have a wonderful October,
Mrs. Cutaia and Mrs. Doty
Before/After School Clubs and Activities are back!
The fall sessions are getting up and running and it has been wonderful to see students running and playing, singing together, and playing their instruments.
There will be more opportunities to join clubs and activities throughout the year. We will send an additional interest form for winter and spring sessions. Some clubs and activities will be repeated so that more students may be involved, and there will also be some additional options.
Therapy Dogs at PRS
Paul Road Elementary School has been partnering with handler and dog teams from Therapy Dog International over the last six years. The teams spend their morning visiting classrooms to support and encourage reading amongst our students. Being able to interact with the dogs also provides social/emotional support for our students and staff. This program always comes with rays of positive feedback from students, staff, and the handlers!
Therapy dogs will return to PRS this month!
Physical Education Updates
Students should NOT wear Crocs, open-toed shoes, sandals, winter boots, etc.
Sneakers are the best choice.

Staff Spotlight
Mr. Adams and Mrs. Sihto work hard to ensure our students at Paul Road receive high quality instruction by working to provide resources and curricular supports to staff. They each collaborate with colleagues across the district, and work with district leadership to ensure teachers have everything they need to best support our students.
Both also work as academic intervention teachers part of the day. They push into classrooms and work with small groups of students to meet every child where they are.
Thank you for all you do for our panthers, Mr. Adams and Mrs. Sihto!
