Weekly Update Owl #11

Conferences appointments along with Zoom links will be emailed out in the next two days. Please email me if you did not request a conference but would still like one. There are time slots still available.

• A fully charged iPad
• Green Clough folder
• Charlotte's Web
• Chapter 5 - Go Math!
• 3 Composition Notebooks (Dear Harry, Math, Reading)
• Pencil box containing things like pencils, scissors, glue stick, colored pencils, pencil sharpener, crayons, etc.
• A spare mask in a ziplock bag
• Snack and a water bottle

You can access the CLOUGH NOVEMBER CALENDAR so that you can easily see when your child is scheduled to attend school. November is always a crazy month with holidays, etc. I hope this calendar is helpful in planning the weeks ahead.

Thanksgiving week:

Monday: Cohort 1 attends in person, Cohort 2 completes asynchronous assignments from home.

Tuesday: Cohort 2 attends in person, Cohort 1 completes asynchronous assignments from home. We will be following a Thursday schedule for specialists etc.

Wednesday morning: Remote synchronous lessons for all students. 1/2 day for all.

Should you wish to change the way that your child receives his or her education, please contact Mrs. Gallagher by December 4th. Students will have the option of rejoining their peers in the classroom for hybrid learning or participating in the MURSD's fully remote program for term 2. Changes will take effect after the winter vacation

Our class has experienced great success with STMath. We are optimistic that solving puzzles in STMath will help to grow our students' conceptual understanding and will bridge gaps in learning for many students while challenging and accelerating the learning of other students. We really do love it. Please see the screen shot left for students in Google Classroom. We are so proud of these students!

We wish you a very happy Thanksgiving. While this Thanksgiving is going to be a little different for all of us professors, we are still enormously grateful to do work that we LOVE each day. We are thankful that we get to work with your students and that our days are still full of JOY. Thank you for all the different ways that you are supporting our work in the classroom. Whether it be making social sacrifices so that we can stay healthy and keep schools open or sitting with your child at home, helping him or her to reach his or her full potential, we appreciate you! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Happy Thanksgiving!
