This is a reminder that Infants & Toddlers is part of Harford County Public Schools and follows the HCPS schedule. Changes to the schedule -- delays, early dismissals or closings -- can be found on local news, the HCPS website and on social media. There is still time to register for the upcoming discussion Let's Talk Transition! This program is for Infants & Toddlers parents and caregivers who have children that will be transitioning out of I&T and to Preschool Programs. Learn about what transition looks like, the timeframe, and what happens after transition. You will have an opportunity to have your questions answered at the end of the presentation. This is a virtual program.

Understanding & Managing Behavior in Young Children: A Behavior Dozen will be presented virtually by Valerie Taylor, Educational Evaluator and Special Educator, on Wednesday, February 8 at 7 PM. Participants will receive all the tools discussed during the presentation. Look for the invitation and registration link next week.

Bedtime in a Box is a virtual program scheduled for Tuesday, March 14 at 7 PM and will provide parents with the tools to create a bedtime routine. Kim Mayforth, Infants and Toddlers Teacher Specialist, will discuss the importance of bedtime routines, focusing on comfort and learning. Participants will receive an age-appropriate Bedtime in a Box kit. Registration will open in February.

Is your family looking for opportunities to play with other children? Join us for Playgroup! We meet on Wednesdays, 10:30-11:30. Most of our gatherings are held at Roye Williams Elementary School in Havre de Grace, however we're going on the road for the 4th Wednesday of the month to see friends at a Library in the northern part of Harford County.

The Library is offering some really fun programs this winter. All of their events are free, just be mindful that most require pre-registration.

Here are some highlights:

• Baby Masterpieces - Create beautiful pictures using your baby's tiny hands and feet at the Bel Air and Fallston branches
• Preschool Music and Movement - Explore music and movement through stories, songs and play at the Bel Air and Joppa branches
• Parachute Play - Enjoy fun around the parachute with songs, dances and games at the Joppa branch
• Sensory Storytime -- A multi-sensory story times for all abilities are offered monthly at both the Bel Air and Abingdon branches

SECAC is a partnership between families, Harford County Public Schools and community organizations in support of the needs of children with disabilities. Meetings are FREE and open to the public. LOCATE is a free service to help you find child care. You can search their site, or speak with a referral specialist by calling 877-261-0060 during business hours. They can help you identify child care options in your area based on your family's specific needs.

Parents who are concerned about their child has developmental delays can self-refer to Infants & Toddlers. Referrals are made by either calling our office at 410-638-3823 or submitting an online form. For more information and link to the form, click here.

2-1-1 Maryland is a resource that brings together four agencies to provide simple access to health and human services information. What can they help with? Affordable housing, food, employment training, utility payment assistance, services for their children or aging parents, and many other issues. The 2-1-1 database has information on nearly 5,000 agencies and programs across the state of Maryland.

Help is available 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Just call 2-1-1.

Harford County Infants & Toddlers provides early intervention services and supports to eligible children with developmental delays and their families. Services are provided at no cost to families. Infants & Toddlers is a part of Harford County Public Schools.
