Dear Henry Families,
In October, this week, students are approaching the end of the first quarter. Gila Monsters started the foundation for a successful school year with classroom lessons, OMA instruction, interventions and enrichment times, small group instruction, and Character Strong curriculum. Thank you, Anna Herny families, for your continued support of the very important work happening in classrooms with our students and teachers.
The last day of the first quarter is Thursday, October 5, and all students will be on Fall Break October 6-13. School resumes on Monday, October 16, at our normal 7:42 a.m. start time. Please mark your calendar that all TUSD schools have Professional Learning Wednesday on October 25, and there is No School for students this day.
Our Character Strong trait for the month of October is “Responsibility.” Responsibility is taking action and understanding the impact of our choices. Responsibility is also one our Anna Henry 4 B’s. Please be sure to ask your student this month what they are learning about this character trait.
We are immensely proud of our students and team for their hard work this quarter. Have restful and enjoyable Fall Break.
One of Henry's school goals is to make sure that students are not tardy or absent more than 3 times in a school quarter. Parents/Guardians can help tremendously in improving their child's tardiness by making every effort to insure their child arrives to school on time and attend school unless they are truly ill.
Daily Attendance and Tardies
Please make every effort to ensure that your child does not miss valuable class instruction. Strong school attendance and getting to class on time is a top indicator of future success. Now is the time to set those standards and expectations for your child.
Respectfully,
Principal, Thomas Heminger
